I'm that same way. If I'm inspired (& that can come from anywhere... seeing a quilt, seeing a pattern, finding some fabric, hearing something that would make a good name, just out of the blue), nothing can stop me. But if I'm not feeling it, I'm not feeling it. So I just have to wait those dry spells out... or fall back on an old stand-by (like Yellow Brick Road) if I need a quilt for something.
A pattern that I have yet to make but that I've seen lots of pictures of & heard nothing but good stuff about that might work for your fabric (which sounds too cute, BTW) is "Warm Wishes". I know it's a freebie at one of the magazine sites. Just an idea...
