Hi Yvonne:
We are doing Chicken Scratch here in CentralFlorida. We have a fairly new quilt shop in Haines City (near here). Pat is from England and has been open around 2 yrs or so. One of her quilting friends brought in a Queen size quilt with 13 blocks of Ch. Scratch and the other 12 blocks are with the color matching your gingham check and a neutral background. This block is called the Irish Chain. Squares are about 16.5-17" and of course will need to be squared up. Pat ordered the books we are using from Pegasus Originals. There are a few patterns on the net. Everyoe is working at their own speed. I loved the quilt on display but find the Chicken Scratch"very slow". The hardest part is counting and graphing your pattern. But keep on searching on all of the search engines and I am sure you will find something you like.
