Thanks everyone for the wonderful comments! I had great fun making this string quilt and learned a few things along the way, too.
Dollyo, thanks for the link to the video. I'm not sure that i could "dwirl" but a soft wave repeated all over the quilt would be really pretty. I wish the video would have shown the whole quilt when she was finished with it.
