Yes, we plan to do the deed. grandparents who raised me butchered two steers and 4 hogs every year and we kids helped. I have their meat saw they used. We have butchered hogs in our marriage, and chickens. Never a turkey or duck, so it will be a new experience. My dh is a strong armed man, so he will do the heavier tasks for me.
Our little peach tree has produced a bushel of peaches, I am working up today; also, doing grape jelly from the half bushel of grapes our vines produced. Nest blocks of PC will be due and must get to them sometime soon. Working on finishing a quilt for grandson, and one for Susan's daughter, border my blue nine patch and trellis quilt tops. Sinus are bad today, I can hardly see after being awake for an hour and my back is very sore, but thankful I can still move about. Thera-gesic time. Smile.
