Just imagine - seeing the front of his head and hearing the sewing machine and not a financial analyst talking on the computer. A cohort with great color sense who can pick fabrics for me. (I am a good technician and a miserable artist. But I do well solving technical problems! And I can design clothes - fewer color choices per garment.)
Thank you for even considering giving me directions. Just think, if he sewed, we would need to use a larger room.

The way I got him involved was to mark of a bunch of 2.5 inch blocks. Then I asked him to cut them out for me, explaining that it would really help me out. When he saw how many I was getting, he said,"You sure need to use up some of those blocks." Well, I said, Let me show you how to use the machine and show you how sew them together. It all went from there. He fell in love and has been doing it ever since. It is great to have a sewing partner. But, I just wish he would learn to fill his own bobbins!
