Your quilt is so cute. I agree that we maybe ought to go back to reading Dick and Jane. Whoever thinks that one time around the block gives everyone mastery of a word isn't thinking straight. (And yes, I taught for 38 years). I had my students memorize such things as Lincoln's Gettysburg Address, the preamble to the Constitution, etc. They hated it then, but I have been thanked many times as the students got older. Repetition (think quilting lessons) imbeds phrases in our minds which never goes away. Keep on making those cute quilts.
