I can see how this might be necessary if you fmq on your domestic machine. But as a LAQ it is my goal to keep the quilt square as I am stitching it. I have never felt the need to square any of my quilts after quilting because they looked square when laid out flat. Perhaps I need to measure a few and see how exact they are.
