Thanks Bernie! I have printed these pages out and will take them with me when I go to see the machine. I figured it would be fairly simple/obvious but one just never knows. These pages will be my backup. Think I had better take some machine oil too because I don't think she has used the machine in several years. Don't know what's problem she is having so we will see. Thanks again for posting these pages.

Thanks to the other responders also. I never thought of looking under the machine to see how the needle goes in so thanks for that idea Pat M.

Googling is usually my first idea Prism99 but thought I would ask the QB first because everyone is so informative and sharing.
