No, it's a bit different and the way that the bag is sewn, it's given a little twist with a method by Lisa Moore (Alaskan quilt artist). She helped the shop out by showing them a way to piece it similar to the way her twist quilts are made (so the store person told me). Its a pretty easy technique once you look at it and one I may use in future bags just to help structure it.
