And the needle is put in the correct way.
An iron heats better when it's plugged in. (I like to unplug mine when I'm wandering away - even though it's supposed to have an automatic shut-off)
Remember to take the cords along for the sewing machine(s) when one goes to a class or retreat - and mark them with some kind of ID!
