NYGal I think you're going to end up with alot of shades of red that in the end just won't match. On my swatches I stated no red, don't care what other colors, there's just a few to pick from that will go with mine. When I put it together my setting fabric is in the same fabric line and has the red in it. That way it's all 1 shade and I won't have to fight it. If it were me, I'd say no red and add that yourself so it's all 1 shade and unifies your quilt. My opinion only. Keep measuring travelinggramma, it's really so much easier for the receiver if those blocks measure 12 1/2 X 12 1/2". Better too big than too small. I had about 3 from the last boom that I just could not use because they were 11 3/4 to 12" and the way the block was you couldn't "add a border". Think maybe later on they'll end up as throw pillows. Haven't gone to the post office yet, hope there's some little pkgs. in there. All should be getting my soon, they were mailed Monday.
