I loved all the responses here. I had such grand plans, but, I, too, found a shortage of peaches. We actually ended up eating all we were able to get. However, hopefully, I can freeze some next year. Thank you, everyone, for your suggestions. I shared with a couple friends that live in "peach country" and were able to get a larger amount. They did have to be at the packing houses by 9 a.m. or they were all gone......I live hours away from the packing house and so did not get any. Did get there one day at 10 and they were all gone...
Didn't have another opportunity to go back earlier.....Next year.....I am warned....LOL!
