It would make more sense to me to add 10 inches (finished) to the bottom because 58 is sort of an awkard number to work with.

58 / 2 = 29
58 / 3 = 19.33
58 / 4 = 14.5
58 / 5 = 11.6
58 / 6 = 9.67
