I just looked at the layout again and the darker block in the center is in the perfect spot. Ones eye is drawn to the center because of the darker hue, but the "arrows" in the "shoot" your sight to the concentric "circles" of color. Wish I could see this IRL

The center block is not quite as dark in real. I collected 1930`s prints for more than a year and the great thing is that most of them coordinate.
I started with purple in the middle. First round in medium purple, second light purple. Then blue, green, yellow, orange and red. Also first row medium color, second light, orange only one row.
I started to sew the blocks together and it is terrible tricky to get accurate half inch sashings and corner stones......it will take me forever. I am sure glad I made each block with the according sashing and my experience with minis helps me with the cornerstones.
