We had a store called Goldmann’s, just down the street from Schusters. It had everything, a lunch counter, glass candy cases, fabric, notions, suits, even shoes and underpants for the nuns. The creaky wooden floors went up and down like a rolling ship. The floor walker used to scare the heck out of us kids.
