I did buy one spool of the cotton thread. It looks thicker to me too. I will give it a try in a bobbin since my every day Brother machine I has the canister where you put a spool of thread in it. Their spools are way too tall to fit inside that. Maybe it will work well in my new Nouvella 1500s machine. I'll have to check that out too.
