Default Quilted panel

Sandy brought me this bird panel which has some unique borders. When I first saw it I thought the center square with the surrounding triangles had been pieced; but, closer inspection showed me that it was a panel. And a very beautiful one!!! Sandy, with some of her friends, were very creative in designing the borders for this wallhanging. I took inspiration from the quilt for my quilting ideas. SID narrow borders, outlined the birds, some continous curves, stippling, a whirling motif in some corner blocks, zig zag just the center of the pieced braid and some maple leaves in the outside green border. The ruler work and free hand quilting was so much fun. And you know me, I love to change the thread color to match the front fabrics on a quilt. Quilted on a Gammill with no computer nor stitch regulator.
