I haven't used it in years, but when I did, I found that the Connecting Threads cotton thread was too linty. The thread even looks fuzzy on the spool. Used Mettler silk-finish cotton thread for many years, but last year finally tried a spool of Aurifil 50wt. What a difference! I now use it for both piecing and quilting. It is much smoother and less linty than any other cotton thread I have tried, plus it is finer so a lot more fits on the bobbin.
I never tried CT's polyester thread; that might be good.
