Has anyone done this with napkins? I'm wondering about the edges... would that have to be unsewn (forget that!) or cut off?
I am thinking that you should be able to use napkins. If they are heavy, you might want to trim off the hems and back them with a stabilizer. I believe that French Fuse would work for this. Then you could sew them down as you would any applique. I used Kona Snow as the backing. It is a light weight fabric and worked well for the hankies. Good luck!
