Last year I made tote bags with grocery shopping in mind and those flimsy plastic bags it's really nice to carry my tote bags without the bottom falling out. I also made dish towels with hangers on the top to go over the handle on the stove or fridge (they were a hit and it was great to see them hanging in everyone's homes), throw pillow shams (I even recycled old bed pillows and made pillow forms for the shams). I look forward to my sewing projects every year for presents.
