When I mentioned that I am making a quilt for my son one lady just chuckled and said "why do you always insist on being so crafty. Make your life easier and go down to Waly world and just buy him one. He is going to like it better." My son being a little surprised by her forceful comment politely said "yes, something mass produced half the way across the wold would be so much better than a quilt made by my mom." My son is 8 so my jaw just dropped in surprise.
