I am thinking a wide-ish band of black, then a narrow band of purple (or red or green) then bind in black or whatever colour you didn't use for the narrow strip (sorry if this doesn't make sense...bit of a long day
).
Anyway, can you show us what you decide....it looks lovely so far....
