I was thinking 1/4 inch inside each hex, but you could also do a curved, loop of a line from one point to the next point or, even start at one point of the hex, skip the next point and kind of 'loop' to the second point. It's kind of hard to describe what I mean, but then you could do it on the machine, and still do it maybe as a single line or with a second ine, if needed. Just tell the QP that the quilter heard they were coming and skipped to Mexico.
