A lot of it depends on the fabric. I have done bear paw quilts out of men's shirts and pants, and nine patch/snowball blocks with tshirts and lady's dresses. I think I have done about 7 or 8 now and thoroughly enjoyed doing them. The only thing I found, was that I had to lightly starch every piece before cutting, with the exception of the pants. It can be very tedious taking apart all the shirts or dresses, but, it is VERY rewarding to present the families with the quilts afterwards. Good luck with endeavor and please post pictures.
