Reread the sale ... completely. It says the machine, along with two others was stored in a climate controlled are for a long time and is mint, no wear, no dirt, nothing wrong. He only listed it as a parts machine because he had not tested it and could not verify it worked.
He also said it was threaded up and ready to use. By looking at his pics and the hodge podge mess the thread is in, he doesn't know a sewing machine from a can opener.

I wouldn't condemn the machine because of what he said about it. He's simply covering his own ... 'er behind for liability purposes. Seen this many times on GW. They too have no idea of how to use a sewing machine so they list them as parts or repair when they are perfectly good machines.
