Hand-quilting Question?
Since I am still relatively new to this quilting thingy, I have a question for the great quilt sages out there. I am lap quilting 42 blocks (14 1/2" square) using 80/20 batting. It says on the package to quilt 4 inches. Now, if I am quilting all the way around the 2 inch strips and the 2 inch block in the middle of each block, do I need to go back and hand-quilt every 4 inches on each of the strips? I am pretty sure that this 1930's Playtime quilt pattern is not going to fall apart if I quilt it around each 2 inch strip but wanted to check with the experts. Thank you for your input.
