Forgot to mention that there may be threads wound around things that move inside. Check carefullly for them and take them out. Sometimes they are in the bobbin. I found half a spool of thread would around the bobbin winder and was really suprised when I started puling it out of my 201. How did the poor thing ever manage to work at all. You can get a new bobbin tire from SewClassic.com in Ohio. They have all kinds of parts for this particular machine. No problem getting parts for a 201. With the book, you can learn how to use all the attachments too. Wow!
