The parafin suggestion was good. IT is clean. This summer has been hot and humid. Some of the wood swells if not sealed. Some of this will resolve itself during the fall/winger. It probably wouldn't take very much sanding and then use the parafin. I wouldn't recommend anything oily to mar the wood. SewClassic.com has shuttles and bobbins for this machine too. Follow Joe's directions and she will purrrrrrr.
