Jeanne, I can sympathize. I call myself quilter, though I don't *really* believe it! I gave one once, and was apologizing. Crazy! It was beautiful, it was. But the recipient stopped me, and said, "I can't quilt. I could never do it. It is perfect" It was a nice moment, and I try to remind myself of it.
Your thoughts/standards are out of proportion. Your niece will be thrilled with whatEVER you do!
