Well Girlscouts, that depends on if you want square or rectangle. What is it for? How big is it now? Going on a full size bed or did you want it a lap quilt. If lap I would do the 6 x 4 if bed, 5 x 5. that is me.

Jaba, since you are a Denver fan and I am a Steeler fan, good thing we did not meet up yesterday. I was so disappointed.

Now as for the fair, I am happy to say that I took seven 1sts, and four 2nds. I was in tears when I saw one of my quilts hanging up when we walked in. I am thrilled. This fair is much larger than the Wheatland County fair and I did not anticipate getting as many first places as I did. No Best of Show or Best of Class, but I am happy just the same. My DH commented on the one that took Best of Show and snubbed his nose at it. It was pretty and if they felt it should win then so be it I told him. My RR took First and my daughter just had to brag immediately. Not going to bore you with a bunch of photos of them. They are in the UFO Thread, churn dash, rr, an embroidery quilt, machine embroidered wall hanging, a rwb dq, hot pads, a teddy bear out of daughter's baby blanket took second, my quilted coat 2nd, a Christmas vest I made, Tree of Life quilt, and the Stars around the Garden quilt. The stars quilt had competition of the same quilt and they hung them beside one another. They were the same but yet different because i changed out colors on the blocks and assembled and quilted different. They even hung mine next to another hand embroidery quilt that was a BOM also. Wonder why they did that.

My DH gave the boy permission to date our daughter. No, I am not real thrilled with it, but what ya going to do. I have not slept but a few hours for the last six nights now and I am about ready to crash. I did not get any sewing done, hurt my back, nasty sleep, and daughter is now thrilled. Boy, was that good or bad?

When at fair we attended the grandstand concert where there was three bands. For $2.50 apiece, x 5 (12.50) I gave a ticket away, and the daughters and I went to the concert and just two of the bands was 3 hours worth of performances and there was one more to come and I had to go home it was already 8:00pm. They were wonderful performers. Apparently local bands, one rock the other boogie blues. What a treat for such a great rate. The girls and I got reprimanded twice. Yep, i got a warning I would have to leave because I wanted to send the music video to dh so he could hear a little bit and we stood up to clap and dance to the musci. Since when can't you stand at a concert. Someone will have to explain that to me. My daughters and me are now the Rebel Dancers. We danced in our seats and still made loud noise. So much that the singer signed our CD for us.

Well, if all goes well this week, I may get to work on your blocks everyone. I got no sewing done but going to try and knock out a few of them each day.

Have a great evening.
