Thumbs up Basting with adhesive

After reading about basting with spray adhesive and stalling on several projects because I just didn't want to sit there and baste and pin, I finally tried the spray method. I'll never go back.

Something to know...you don't have to spray it until it's soaked. Just a light spray from about 18-24 inches away in a quick swirl or circle and BOOM! it adheres beautifully. Do small sections like quarters and don't worry about whether you hit every spot. Make it quick. After I spray baste I take a flat headed pin and run it through my quilt and use Pinmoors (learned about them on this board) to stick onto the wounding part of the pin. I might pin once every 18 inches or just one pin in a section. And then I machine quilt it. The results are perfect. the adhesive sticks even when my quilt is left wadded up on the sewing table at the end of the day. Try it. You'll love it.
