After Christmas in New Orleans is a wee bit dull, compared to the festivities which lead up to it. The bonfires on the levy (Christmas eve) are best if you get out of the car and visit the people who have built the fires. If you have a car, Metairie is not far, but don't plan on night life drinking then getting on the spaghetti highway to get back over there. The weather can be delightful, especially coming from NY, but it can also be bone chilling humid. Park for free south of Esplanade then walk, or ride the public transportation. Vanogay, yea ya rite, Let the good times roll!
