Do NOT touch those pieces with a scissors. Find a background fabric that looks good with the prints and simply applique them down. It will look exactly like the pieces on your design wall but the background will be your choice.
From what I can see, a blanket stitch on all the edges would be great way to attach what you already have to a background. And I think you'll be stunned at the beauty of the finished product.
