I make lap throws for the nursing home patients all the time. In fact I just took 6 of them yesterday and the activities director was so, so happy to get them. I generally just use a basic 4 or 9 patch block, or perhaps a yellow brick road and sometimes a log cabin with 2 1/2" logs from scraps. I also use orphan blocks when I have them. I also would like to make the patients simple jackets or maybe wheel chair bags but haven't found any really simple patterns for these items. I know they would be very much appreciated.
