Check your LSMG for a replacement cord or Sew-Classics.
For the "Sally" on the bed I'd try some Testor's gloss black model paint with a very tiny brush. Several coats in the scratches should fill them. Then perhaps some shellac or clear coat over that.
Yes, I know about fuzzy cob webs. Lord how I hate Black Widow spiders. Those miserable things get everywhere.
Considering how many I've killed over years I'm surprised they aren't extinct.
