If you can plug your FW cord into the block and the machine works, then the wires to the motor are intact. All you need is a new cord set ..... Sew-Classic or you LSMG.

Could you post a pic of the cut wires?

If you are talking about the hinges to the top cover, here's a tip. Get some veneer or real thin wood, or even the cardboard from the back of a legal pad or similar, and roll it up in a tight tube. Put some Elmer's Wood Glue Max on the rolled up tube then tap it into the screw holes. Then screw in the screws. Works wonders for wallowed out screw holes. That's what I had to do with my Freebee Kenmore cabinet lid. Best thing is, it's an invisible fix.
