I DO NOT have a chair.
I had started out with an adjustable height office chair and removed the arms. Then when I attended a Harriet Hargrave's class on machine quilting I learned more about ergonomics than I can even remember. She has a Hermann Miller airelon [spelling] chair as it fits her.
Well, I went to an upscale office furniture store and tried the HM chair, which at the time was probably $8900-$1000. I was glad it didn't fit me.
Then I saw what the store's people used at their desks. Swopper's. I talked the manager into letting me borrow one over the weekend. I loved it so much I bought one. Sit4less carries them. It is like sitting on an exercise ball in that it encourages you to have proper posture. It is very easily adjustable. I love it!
By the way ... I have had back surgery and do have arthritis.
