*Hint* ... you might want to use something softer than a plywood, so that if you decide to stick in pins, you can do so. Mine are made of tentest, and covered with flannelette or polar fleece. For the better part, I do not use pins, but sometimes I want to pin a template to the board, or notes on piece measurements, etc .... obviously, paper doesn't stay put, so the pins make it handy!
