So sorry you are having a hard time with this quilt. Especially after you had figured out how to make a quilt by making it in half. Too bad it's not working on this one. But at least you learned that you have to be careful and make sure the pattern is the kind that will work for making it in two parts so it won't happen again. I agree that you should just put a piece of fabric between the two pieces of backing. I do that on purpose on my backings all the time. Try to jazz it up a little. I'd quit for today and watch the tube...Sunday has some good shows. Eat some ice cream and take it easy and forget about the quilt for the rest of the night. Think only happy thoughts!!! Good luck tomorrow. I bet you'll get it all straightened out then.
