For two years I had problems with my Bernina until I bought a cone of Gutermann thread. Then, all my problems vanished. It was the thread all along. And I think my machine likes cones, also. So, I have tons of varigated thread (which my machine hates) and all other expensive thread that I can't use, but it's fine by me as long as my sewing machine is running smoothly finely.
