I have a Singer 338 in a cabinet similar to that one. It's a very good machine. ALL metal inside, NO plastic gears.
With the cams you can do a really great number of stitch patterns. Simple machines to operate.
Don't quote me, but I "think" a 301 with the short draw bridge will fit in a standard cabinet.
