Since they're probably going to be damaged again, I would just cut off the singed areas, stuff some new batting into the hole, and sew on some patches with like fabric.
My husband was always dozing off in his recliner, sometimes with a cigarette in his hand, sometimes with a bottle of beer. He never spilled a drop, but did put some burns in the fabric.
