A Singer 301 needs a "cradle" to go in a cabinet. The cradle mounts with the hinges, then the 301 snaps into the cradle. Push a lever, and the 301 pops out by the handle to go somewhere with you. You can find a 301 cradle on ebay, but be sure to get all the parts and screws as Singer screws are unique.
