I made myself one of these after seeing the video from some packing material from work. I absolutely love it. It gives me a large surface and is easy to set up, has easy access to the bobbin, and just about everything I need to FMQ.

I used some packing material from work. This works fine but stereofoam continues to flake, so I wrapped each piece with plastic table cloths that I purchased at the dollar store. Works okay as the plastic seems to stick together, keeping all the pieces in place. The plastic is not as slippery under the fabric as I would like, so I went to Home Depot and purchased some silicone spray. Sprayed it on the plastic and it is so slippery that I now love it.

WARNING: DO NOT get that silicone spray on your floor. It is slippery stuff and you you could well end up on your keister if it gets on the floor. Spray it onto the plastic and wipe off with a paper towel, or spray it onto a paper towel in your sink and wipe off on the plastic. I sprayed the stuff I purchased directly onto a piece of scrap fabric and it did not stain it, but I'd advise that you do this as well. There are different brands.
