Hello All ...
I've been gone all day, and now home to read your comments!
Thank you ... it extends the excitement for me and I appreciate every word you have shared.
Honestly, I never suspected even one little bit that I'd be up for that fancy ribbon.
Til your comments, I hadn't thought about the contrast of my FWS and Monty ... as you can see I like to do "just for fun" projects too!

For those asking ... What is the FWS?
Thanks to the earlier posters for explaining about FWS.
If you'd like to see the FWS' done by other members of this board check out this link ...

For those asking to see close up pics ... my completed FWS starts at post #203 in the above link.
I am fortunate to have an incredible LAQ who did an exceptional custom job, with almost every block having a different quilting design. With her talents, it makes it reversable to a full cloth quilt, if desired.

My version of this quilt includes 3,138 pieces – 144 fabrics – 111 unique blocks
In the four corners, you'll see four postage stamp blocks which has a piece of every fabric used in the quilt!

There's one more quilt which I took to the Fair ... and entered it for the maker, our own Swiss Granny_59!!!!

Please go and check it out ... and see why it is ever so amazing and became a real show stopper!

Amanda's Gram ... I laughed when I read your comment about the Quilt Police liking it! Oh SO true ... the convener of the class is one of the top Q cops! And then you got me sniveling away again!!

PenniF ... oh I was "flying high" for sure!! I was working at the Fair as well, and my colleague kept wondering if I would stay was down to earth and be able to work. Not to worry, I guaranteed ... my head does not swell so easily and I do not become so self-assured!

JanRN ... aww shucks! Though, you have to remember you and the others all have some pretty outstanding FWS' too! Wouldn't it be grand if they could meet each other IRL some day?

W4Me ... oh I know you'll make the blocks, just that they won't be in the typical setting! Nor with typical fabrics!!!

Granny_59 ... My only regret is that you could not be here IRL to receive your accolades in person! Please be share your "flying high" with others, even if they don't really "get it". ahem ... MrG!!!!!!!!

MamaB ... FWS has to make it past the District level (25 fairs) first, so the chances are about 1 in 25!! Monty's attendance at the Royal York is only a guest appearance, non-competitive! Will you be at the February convention?

THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE!!! ... for the generous compliments above.

THANKS TOO, TO THE OTHER FWS'ers who were there with the ooohs and aaaahs supporting me as I followed along the FWS trail. There were times when I was ready to pack it in ... and you were there to nudge me along with encouragement, so that I would finish it off.

I couldn't have done it without YOU ... and a big part of this success is to your credit!
BLESS YOU, each and everyone!!!
