I did not know Singer made a 501. There is a Singer 500 and the attachments work with the 503, 401, 403, 404, 411, 600, 603 and other slant machines. Attachments, cords, etc can be gotten from sew-classic.

Monroe I don't know where your GW is but I would have bought that for the price if it was a Singer 500 or 401. Like I said I haven't seen a 501. I refurbish any slantomatics I can get like that or worse. They are a good machines, well worth the trouble. I do not do Touch 'n Sew.
