You'll need the two front brackets for the 301 cradle to hook into. I had a similar cabinet, although not for a treadle, and did cut off the front lip. I replaced it with 2 metal brackets that came with my 301 cradle. Many cradles are available on E-bay, but you need one with ALL the mounting hardware to retro-fit into another cabinet. I only planned on using my cabinet (a thrift store find) for my 301's, so I didn't mind cutting off the lip with a sabre saw.
