Jenn, I love the horses - they look like babies! I actually have 7 horses, the oldest one now is 22, the youngest is 9. BoJangles is my challenge horse!

That machine looks to me like a Singer VS 2 from the late 1800's. I have that fiddle base machine. It is a shuttle machine right, although, there was a IF (Improved Family) fiddlebase from about 1879 to about 1895 that was the predecessor to the Model 15. Based on the tension assembly location and the fact that, that machine is a shuttle with a long bobbin, that has to be a VS 2 fiddlebase.

The Singer 115 was not that old - from about 1912 to 1935. It was a vertical rotary hook machine. The model 15 is a vertical oscillating hook.
