Medusa is great. I think you can do it, and you can do it well! We are our own worst enemy placing obstacles in front of ourselves. I believe people (especially women) can accomplish whatever they decide. Good luck and keep a bottle of vine and some chocolate handy. There are bound to be some bumps. Happy quilting.
