I agree Anamaria, I don't care for the painted cabinet either, but I can see that cabinet and machine in some houses - not mine! Remember, that Wilcox and Gibbs cabinet we re-did? It had been painted white, then black? The irons were painted gold. It looked really nasty when we bought it, but it is so beautiful now! We used several cans of stripper to get through all the paint layers. Re-finishing cabinets is doable - just takes a lot of elbow grease and determination! Good luck on whatever decision you make on the re-finishing method you chose for your cabinet! Please keep us posted on what you end up doing!
